How to easily pimp old camping vehicles - tips & tricks

Old campers have a certain charm about them, but not everyone likes the design of the upholstery and furniture. With a few simple tricks, you can bring a breath of fresh air into your camping vehicle. After all, you should be able to feel completely at home in your camper!

Organizer

With an organizer, you can store and sort your small items neatly. They save space and help you stay organized. Models that are versatile and can be attached to the wall or the back seat are particularly practical.

Repair kit against scratches

In many old or used motorhomes and caravans, you will find scratches and scuffs on tables, floors or furniture fronts. The fine veneer on cupboards and drawers in particular often suffers from everyday travel.

Cuff fabric

The covers are often difficult to remove and cleaning them takes a lot of time. Replacement covers are not exactly cheap to buy, and sewing suitable covers takes a lot of time.

However, you can reupholster your cushions quickly and for little money with cuff fabric. It is elastic and available as tubular fabric. This makes it ideal for the seat cushions of your camping vehicle.

Tile stickers

You can use self-adhesive tile stickers to decorate your camper kitchen. These can be applied to the back wall of the kitchen as well as to your fridge or other smooth surfaces.

The advantage here is not only the look, but also the nature of the stickers. They are waterproof and easy to wipe off. This protects the furniture in the camper and prevents splashes of fat and sauce stains when cooking.

If you no longer like them, they can be easily removed without damaging the surface.

Mosaic stones

With colorful mosaic tiles made of glass or plastic, even scruffy 80s bathrooms can be transformed into real little wellness oases. Self-adhesive wallpaper

Self-adhesive wallpaper works in a similar way to furniture foil. It is also made of water-resistant PVC so that the walls are protected from moisture.

It is easy to apply and is stuck directly onto the dry and clean wall. The self-adhesive wallpaper can also be used for the furniture in the camper and all other smooth surfaces.

New furniture handles

So simple and yet so effective! Many furniture fronts can be transformed into an eye-catcher with a new handle. Even if it may seem kitschy at first: with "golden" furniture handles or knobs, many cupboards and drawers look much more elegant and modern.

But of course you can also choose brushed stainless steel, classic black, fresh turquoise or a model in antique or vintage style.

Push-Locks

Push locks are a closing mechanism for furniture. They can be opened and closed by briefly pressing a centrally positioned mechanical button.

The advantage here is that as soon as the knob is recessed, the furniture fronts close more or less flush and therefore do not protrude into the already limited space.

Push locks are usually made of plastic, but there are also higher-quality products made of metal and fiberglass-reinforced materials.

Shower curtain

A shower curtain can be used to ensure that nothing goes wrong when showering. In addition to the practical advantage, a beautiful shower curtain also adds a touch of color to the interior of your camping vehicle.
