What is a vacuum bag anyway and how does it work?

Vacuum bags, also called compression bags, are transparent plastic storage bags in which clothes or food are packed. The bags have an airtight closure and also a valve on the front to allow the air in the bag to escape completely. This is done either by hand or with the help of a hoover or pump. Due to the absence of air in the bag, the contents are compressed small and can thus be stored and transported in a space-saving way. Some manufacturers claim savings of up to 75 %.

Why vacuum bags make sense

Vacuum bags offer many advantages and are also particularly useful when travelling or moving house.

For clothing
