Innovations Caravan Salon 2024: First hydraulic support system especially for panel vans - LevelVan from AL-KO

With the new LevelVan, AL-KO is launching the world's first hydraulic support system specially developed for panel vans. The manufacturer relies on innovative carbon cylinders to reduce the weight of the system to a minimum.

The LevelVan weighs less than 50 kg but, like its "big brother" LevelM, supports and levels vehicles weighing up to 4.25 tons effortlessly and precisely - at the touch of a button. The system can currently be seen at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf, Hall 14 / Stand A03.

More payload, higher cruising speed

The permissible total weight of panel vans is usually between 3.3 and 3.5 tons. If this weight is exceeded, other speed limits apply and the cruising speed is reduced. With the lightweight carbon-aluminum-steel mix of the hydraulic cylinders, which is only half the weight of previous cylinders, there is more scope for additional equipment.

Simple operation

The LevelVan supports extend automatically in just a few minutes and bring your vehicle into the perfect horizontal position for a secure stand. For even more comfort, various individual positions can be saved, e.g. a sleeping position, a levelling position or a tank emptying position.

According to the manufacturer, installation is also easy for specialist workshops to master: a pump unit mounted on the chassis, prefabricated hoses and a plug-and-play configuration facilitate installation. The complete installation material is included in the supplied set.

Suitable for Stellantis X 250 base models

One small drawback: the LevelVan system is currently "only" compatible with panel vans based on Stellantis X 250 - i.e. with models from manufacturers such as Fiat, Peugeot and Citroën up to a gross vehicle weight of 4.25 tons.

For owners of vehicles with a Fiat original chassis, VW Crafter II, a MAN TGE or Mercedes Sprinter VS30 or for vehicles over 4.25 t GVW, the AL-KO HY4 is available as a (somewhat heavier) alternative.
